Placement of rings on wedding day??

I recently fell in love with ring guards/wraps instead of the traditional wedding band. I am curious though how you place those on your finger during the ceremony? Would I not wear my engagement ring during the ceremony and my FH would place my whole set on my finger during the ceremony? Just putting my ring guard on my hand would look odd. Just curious what other brides have done or are planning to do if you're going with a ring guard instead of a traditional band??

Would you be able to put the E ring into the jacket ahead of time and just not wear it for the ceremony?

You can really do it however you want. You could wear your engagement ring on your right hand and have him place the ring guard on your left, then change it right after the ceremony. No one is going to see him placing the ring on your finger close enough to think it looks odd. You could also place your engagement ring in the ring box with the guard before the ceremony, so he places them on your finger together. Or you could wear your engagement ring on your left hand, remove it during the ring ceremony, and have him put them on together.

I also have wrap wedding ring. I’m wearing my engagement ring during the ceremony. But we’re going to take time to join my with my engagement ring. We have practiced together how to join them together.

I had mine soldered before the wedding so he just put one unit on at the ceremony

If you want to put the engagement ring on your other hand for the ceremony and switch it after, that’s an option. As for thinking it will look weird just putting the guard on your finger, nobody besides the officiant, FH, and maybe your MOH & BM will even see the ring and how it appears.

I didn’t wear neither one on the wedding day. Husband and I had regular ring exchange and then our minister had a reading about the meaning of the engagement ring along with the blessing of it. Then asked husband to place it on my finger. I personally wanted wedding band first then E ring and I didn’t want to switch it after or have it on another finger. This worked out great.
