Place card etiquette

Angela, on August 22, 2017 at 2:03 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

I was wondering how many people are getting their place cards professionally done? My invitation lady was going to print out all the guest and their appropriate place card table number. But my RSVPs came back to late and now there's no time to print. Is it OK if we hand write my guest place cards???

I hand wrote mine. I think you should do as Broke said and print them.

If you buy a pack of placecards like they have at Michaels or Joann's, usually they come with a website that has a downloadable template for microsoft word you can use with your printer.

I bought a few packs at Michaels and used their online templates to print them. It was super easy, just make sure you know how the printer feeds the paper so they don't end up on the wrong part of the card. I made that mistake a few times

Check out Vistaprint. Here I found the link for you, http://www.vistaprint.com/gallery/IOUCgQMBAAAAAAA=/personal-business-cards/wedding.aspx?category_id=897&rd=1

I've been very happy with their quality (though never ordered place cards) But it's super easy and they're pretty fast. Good luck! Smiley smile

All of the craft stores sell blank place cards- i'd buy some of those and then buy some labels and print the labels over handwriting them. not sure how many people you have attending your wedding but handwriting on a bunch of small place cards could get a bit tiresome and your handwriting may start to suffer because of it.

It's only 8/22 - you have time. I used Minted. Granted, I paid for rush service though (with less than 2 weeks to spare).
