Our dating anniversary is June 2nd but that week is crazy for us. My 2 brothers, his dad, my grandma and my birthday is all around this date so we went with our favorite holiday because we knew we wanted a summer wedding. However, vendors charge double for holiday weekends so we did the Saturday after. So we came up with 7-10-21

We knew we wanted an October wedding. When we found our dream venue, we took the last October date they had available.

We talked about how long we wanted to be engaged for (which was proposed July 4 2019 & married may 16 2020; wanted short engagement), decided on a venue we liked and what dates they had available, spoke about how many people we wanted (tobudget for how much money we would have to save in 10 months), and then season (we chose May because weather isnt too hot and we could be comfortable )

For a 2023 wedding, I'd wait a bit longer because venues won't book you for 2023 right now, and the venue's availability/pricing minimums will decide the date. For us, we knew we wanted a June wedding, and this date let us avoid Father's Day and family birthdays.

It depends on what you mean by "plan." Planning to most people means booking vendors and making solid plans, but most vendors won't book you this far in advance. So in that case, you can't plan really until they'll book a date with you. Also, most vendors require a deposit when you book, so you can't really book and then pay later. If you mean "plan" as in make pinterest boards and start brainstorming and making lists of possible venues, working on a budget, and just getting excited, but not booking everything, you can start that whenever! But you can't really make solid plans without booking vendors and I think you'll struggle to do that this far ahead of time.

Just a note - you keep saying you want to pay everything off next year, but not get married until 2023. I don't recommend paying everything off so far in advance. We like to think the best of people, but really a lot of vendors provide day-of services and should be paid day-of to make sure they show up. Paying the full bill too far ahead doesn't give the vendor really any motivation to show up if they're "that" kind of person.

Will Sunday will be the best? Because we was thinking about November 12,2023 fall season but I forgot it rains in that season. So we chose June 12,2023 and we keep switching it like I just need help sticking to my date for now on to 2023. And also we was thinking planning this year talk to service on the phone and we also getting a full service planner then payment next year will that be a good idea?

I think you need to get a budget figured out first, and an estimated guest count, and then pick a venue and a date. The date isn't the first thing to figure out and I don't think focusing on that will really help you.

Normally people have a deposit when you (or the planner) books them and then you pay them in the week before the wedding or on the day of the wedding. You don't pay people in full that far in advance. If you do hire a planner, they will coordinate all the dates and everything for you so you don't forget anything.

Hey!! My fiancée and I picked our date based around the location of where we want to get married and the type of weather we want to have. Like we are planning a beach wedding in Destin, Florida. We picked the place first and we have kids so we know we want to get married after the school year is over and the last factor was we wanted our wedding date to be our own. No one else’s birthday, or holidays(Other than Memorial Day) And no other known anniversaries are nearby. It’s our own day each year❤️🙂 hope those ideas help you!

We started by eliminating what we didn't want - this is a 2nd wedding for each of us, and both of us were married in early fall our 1st times around. We both wanted winter.

Originally we were going to be married in January of this year, but some other things came up so we've postponed until February of next. We chose Valentine's day, because it's easy to remember, our colors were already scarlet, black, and ivory, and it's a Sunday which works well for FH's adult children Smiley shame we really have our hearts set on ALL of our kids participating in the wedding, so trying to work around their schedules to make it easier for them. We're also getting married on the other side of the state from where we and half our guests live, so a Sunday morning wedding makes it easier for everyone to travel. Since it's a "holiday" weekend, our hotel block was booked with the offer of extending pricing to the Friday night before along with the Saturday to Sunday we already reserved, in case anyone wants to work in their own Valentine's plans. Smiley winking
