Photos of bride without bouquet?

Savannah, on July 17, 2017 at 1:44 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

I'm leaning towards not having a bouquet (small wedding, no wedding party) but I'm having a hard time imagining what that would look like in reality. Does anybody have any photos of a bride without a bouquet walking down the aisle or standing at the altar?

True, could just go to the market and DIY. I'm just not sure I want one... or if I'd do it just cuz that's tradition? If I could hear or see of others without I might be able to make my decision better. Not sure if it looks funny when a bride walks or stands empty handed.

I had a small wedding and no bridal party as well. I did have a bouquet though for walking down the aisle and back. I didn't use it for the ceremony once we got up there and then didn't use it for most of the photos actually after that. After all was said and done I was thinking it was sort of a waste of money. I wanted something small and the florist didn't listen - it was huge and heavy. I can see someone walking down the aisle without if someone is walking with you and I think it would be fine. If you're walking alone it might look odd? Could you carry something small, or something else besides flowers if that's the case?

Love the feedback. I will be walking down the aisle with my father, so not alone. What do you think, still odd to be without flowers? I would either do flowers or no flowers, don't think I would substitute for another object.

I personally would have to have a bouquet or something in my hands to reduce my fidgeting but the wedding is your wedding. You don't have to have something in your hands just because its tradition. This is one of those areas where you can do whatever you want! Smiley smile

I think it would be odd without flowers personally. I've seen where people carry those "flower balls" on the string but I personally don't like it. I think a nice simple bouquet would be better.

If walking with your Dad then I don't think it's needed! Definitely do what you're most comfortable doing!

I wouldn't notice if you're waking with someone down the aisle

Walking with your dad does not make any difference at all in whether you need a bouquet or not. I have only had one bride walk without one, and that was because they were at a venue with no DOC and they forgot it.

And I personally don't like the flower ball things either.

I don't think it would look weird. If you don't want one don't use one. Sorry don't have any pics for you.
