Photographer wants balance now to resched.

So I'm a corona bride. I am most likely going to have to reschedule my wedding. My photographer has asked for me to pay the balance in order to hold the new date. What are your thoughts on this? What if my wedding gets postponed again? I could see why someone would do this. Have anyone else run into other vendors requesting this? TIA

That was what our photographer asked for, and if I'm honest it kind of seemed like a steal. Remember that they're banking on that money, and you moving your day means they can't book a different event. So while it might not be ideal, it makes sense.

Did they say anything about if you canceled at the end of the day, or if was postponed again?

He didn't. I would check your contract, but my assumption would be that they would keep the money. They might work with you though if you really need to move it.

Maybe it’s bc May weddings aren’t necessarily gonna be canceled? There’s a difference between being forced by the government to cancel and canceling just in case.
