When you booked your photographer, what were some must haves in their packages that you thought was a important must have with their coverage?

A second shooter, at least 8 hours of coverage, engagement photos.

I was adamant about having a second photographer at least for the ceremony. The photographer I choose is actually a trio. One main photographer, one main videographer, and one assistant that will act as second photographer and second videographer as needed.
I also splurged in this area, pics and video were high on my priority list. I wanted everything from getting ready shots to the fi al grand exit. This cost extra since it's more than just an 8 hour day. I've read alot of brides have the photographer leave about halfway through the dancing portion of the reception, but I wanted professional pics of our grand exit.
Also make sure you actually like their pictures. I found some great packages online but their pics all looked fake and whitewashed, it took awhile to find a photographer with a style we liked and a price we could afford.

Hours offered a large canvas print of my favorite bridal shot, bridal portraits, 4 hours of coverage, and a second photographer for $750. Of course I happen to be a friend of hers so she does 25% discount on all friends and family. My only mystery have though was bridal portraits and second photographer.

A second shooter was important, but honestly, I was so disappointed by the first photographer who did our engagement photos, I mostly just cared about how good the second one was. I didn't care that much about what she offered.

I wanted engagement photos included and to be sure we had the print rights to the photos.

2nd photographer for an extremely cheap price and wanted them for 8 hours. We will be spending a total of 1,800 dollars total for 8 hours and a 2nd shooter. Really good deal

I would make sure that you own your photos & that they don’t charge extra for printing rights (which is a nonsense, quite frankly).
Also, make sure to read the contract in detail & understand what photo editing they will do, on how many photos, how long you’ll have to wait to receive photos, and what happens in case they can’t make it to the wedding (ex. they get sick etc.) - do they have an adequate substitute or would you end up with a random photographer or assistant photographer in this case.

Two shooters, 9+ hours of coverage and the ownership rights to the photos and the ability to review any photos the photographer may put on their own website to advertise their services. I can review and veto any photos they may put on their website.

Having a second shooter and engagement pictures were important in deciding which package we wanted. However, most important to us was photography style. I really wanted a photographer who was more of a photojournalist and had an artistic way of shooting. Luckily, we found the perfect photogs using WW.

We looked for quality and price. We went with a single photographer, whole day coverage, 1000+ edited pics on a flashdrive within 1 week, printed full color album within 1 month. Cost was $1000 flat. We didn't care about a second photographer, didn't do engagement pics. It was a nice addition that they openly said the guaranteed time-frame that we would receive everything. My sister was married 18 months ago and I still haven't seen a single pro photo from her wedding...

    THIS.

Plus if they include editing and re-editing etc. And HOW they will deliver the high resolution images to you (jump drive, website etc)

    Time. Second shooter.

I should have asked mine what his communication style was (b/c apparently his was zero communication and that was a problem for me).

The most important thing for me (besides quality of course) was finding someone that charged hourly. We are not having a long ceremony/reception.. the entire thing is only 4-5 hours. So paying for a "full day" of coverage just seemed absurd to us.

We got lucky and found an hourly photographer who offered the option for a 2nd photographer for a small additional fee!

Being provided all of our photos was the main thing for us after quality and price.

My must have was 2 photographers because I wanted pictures of FH and his guys getting ready and pictures of me and girls getting ready... low and behold our venue only has a bridal suite so our guys will be getting ready off site anyways -_- That was my biggest concern... second was all day coverage from getting ready to send off! I wanted EVERYTHING captured!

A second shooter is SOOOO important as the others have already said. Smiley smile There are so many important moments during a wedding ceremony alone that happen simultaneously so having a second shooter is necessary

That is an awesome deal!! I can't seem to find one photographer, without the second, for less than $2,000 for 8 hours.
