She needs to find you a replacement, IF she was sick in a hospital or somebody died that is one thing, but forgetting a graduation shows she is just disorganized. Call Judge Judy, she would love it. Leave her negative reviews anywhere and everywhere.

Yes, recently my boyfriend order a fly cam, which can take picture from sky, also buy a gopro. It is now popular for wedding photography.

Lucky, I have a gopro, I use my gopro on a daily basis and it is my favorite electronic device....however it will never replace an actual photographer or take pictures at the level a professional camera would. Most people who have go pro cameras at weddings have them in addition to a pro.

Oh my god...I am so sorry this is happening to you. I am trying to think of someone in our area who would be available on short notice - maybe put something up on Facebook if you have one??? You'd be surprised at who come through for you. This sucks though.

I'd be pissed too! She should definitely find you a replacement. And don't do George Street. My planner said they were blah at best. Thats why they harass brides after wedding expos.

I've got the whole family looking right now. A few good leads, my sister's wedding photographer referred me to one of her friends. We're talking right now. Luckily the photographer didn't want to be paid until afterwards (wanted to make sure we liked the pictures first.. Hah) so I'm basically like forget her, I'll just find someone.

At this point it's her responsibility to provide an alternate solution, and if you didn't like that one then it would be on you.

A vendor not wanting to take any kind of a retainer for their services is a huge red flag to me. All of the professionals that I work with have a payment schedule and just to reserve your date would need a certain amount down. Unfortunately, it looks like you got duped by a hobbyist, who doesn't take what they do on the side very seriously.
