Photo Booth Printer Ideas

Susan, on October 23, 2015 at 1:43 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about doing a DIY photo booth to save money. Has anyone bought or used a portable printer for this? Any recommendations of good quality with speed so the lines won't be long? I would love to print two copies, if possible. One for us and one for them. If you have any other suggestions I'm wide open! Thanks so much!

Yes! We bought one! We got a Fuji film instax camera! And made a little photo booth back drop, we got it on sale for like $70 and bought the film like %40 off! It will end up costing around $350-400 compared to the 700$ the photobooth place were going to charge.

And as for two copies they can just take two photos. I went to a wedding last month were they had the same camera and everyone loved it!

I am doing a simply DIY photobooth as well. Didnt think I would want my camera sitting out and wasnt sure about printing or not. Was honestly thinking people could use their own cameras! This I may look into!!

Yep - we used simple booth, set it to print 2 copies automatically, and to print wirelessly to a canon photo printer. It's a little slower than a normal photobooth printer so we just added in the instructructions to go get a drink and then come back and pick your copy up in 5 minutes.

Definitely the fuji film instax camera! That's what we want to do too. They aren't badly priced at all. I just went to a wedding where the couple paid a person to take pictures of everyone in the photo booth, and each guest had to pay $1 for a print of the picture they wanted.

It worked out okay, but there was a pretty long line. I love the idea of an instant camera that guests can use on their own, so they can take home a photo favor and leave one for the couple!
