I'm 4'9" and about 105 lbs and was wondering if there are any other brides out there this size or petite and how your dress shopping experience was! I have my appt in 2 weeks but my mom and I are starting to get nervous that nothing will fit/be possible in my style (tight fitted, kind of sexy style....

I have my appt in 2 weeks but my mom and I are starting to get nervous that nothing will fit/be possible in my style (tight fitted, kind of sexy style. Pics down below for reference). Let me know if any of you have this issue or had a positive experience with it! Thank you!

I'm 5'3" 105 lbs. Do not try to buy a sample dress. Just try on dresses you like, they'll clip them and pin them up to help you get an idea and then they will take measurements and order closest to your size. You have nothing to worry about Smiley smile

Girl I have a little train but it's too long. I feel like a little kid tripping over a too big dress

I'm 5' and 103 pounds, with AA breast. The store where i got fitted only had size 10-12 dress for the fitting. The sales girls felt bad, as all the dresses were so big on me. She measure me, ask which style I wanted and ordered it. The dress arrived and it was perfect! Just needed to be hem.

I'm 4'10". Some designers make lines for petite brides. Also most store will pin you into the dress so that it fits when you try it on. I went with Kenneth Winston's Ella Rosa line. I tried the dress on and it was huge but I loved it. They are making the dress to fit my exact measurements so it will be proportional.

    5'1", 97 pounds here.

The consultants at DB were awesome at helping me find a flattering style. Then, they measured me. Two people measured me separately to make absolutely sure. I came out to be size zero. They ordered 2petite for me to give room for alterations. Also, petite sizes are smaller in length, so they said it would cut alterations costs.

You will be fine, don't worry :-)

I'm 5'0" and I was able to order my dress in a custom length (they call it hollow-to-hem). I just had to know what heel height I was going to wear on the day I ordered my dress so they could do the measurement, so I made sure I had my wedding shoes before ordering the dress.

I also picked a mermaid style dress and the designer was able to make my dress with the point where the dress flared out a little higher than the full length dress (I think it was about an inch higher, maybe 1.5 inches), so the flare hit me in the right spot on my thighs.

I was also able to order a custom size, so my dress was made to match my bust, waist, and hip measurements instead of a standard size where the proportions wouldn't have matched my proportions.

I did still require some alterations closer to my wedding, but since the dress was already made to my proportions, taking it in was much easier.

For reference, my dress was by Casablanca Bridal and they are really great with custom orders.

I'm 4'11" and 112 lbs. I'm kinda anxious to start dress shopping already even though my wedding isn't until 2019.
