Petal toss during recessional

Am, on June 2, 2019 at 11:25 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4

For our wedding we plan to do a petal toss during the recessional. We are thinking of having the petals in one of the cone shaped containers so the guests can just toss the petals by tossing the cone.

If anyone else has done this, were the cones annoying for the guests to hold during the ceremony? Since it's open at the top, I know people will have to hold them upright and just don't want it to be the annoying extra thing to have to hold instead of put down. I prefer the cones vs a closed bag of petals though so curious if anyone else has seen this or done this with cones and wondering it was super easy and not annoying to hold?

Thanks so much!!

We threw lavender with the cone shaped containers during cocktail hour but never had to hold it during the ceremony. I don’t think it would be that big of a deal. Just make sure it’s very apparent and clear that guests will need to hold t during the ceremony for photos during the recessional!

The cones sound nicer aesthetically than bags unless they're like enclosed organza or muslin draw string bags then those could be cuter and more practical in a sense.

    Hi Am Smiley smile

Do the chairs have anything on their backs, like a ledge, that people could leave them on?

Alternatively, you could cover the top of the cones with something like cling film (single-use plastic I know, but use as little as possible!) to seal the top of the cones to people could lay them on the ground by their feet?
