Pesky tan lines! What have you done?

MrsVoegs17, on August 17, 2017 at 9:23 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

Good morning! I bought a two week unlimited tanning package and started tanning a few days ago in hopes that I would be able to even out my stupid racer back tan lines. The tanning salon said that tanning should help even out my tan and make the racer back outline a lot less noticeable. I was talking to my mom this morning, and after giving me a lecture about how I'm going to get skin cancer, she told me that tanning is not going to do anything but emphasize the lines more as my dark areas get even darker. I know the majority of the people will suggest spray tan.. but I feel kind of against it as several people I was in a wedding with last year (including the bride) spray tanned, and I thought they looked orange, and the spray tan rubbed off onto the bride's dress. My dress has a V cut in the back and my tan lines look so stupid. Have any of you dealt with this? How did you get past your stupid tan lines?

Keep exfoliating your skin and the tan should wear off eventually. Also body makeup will help. It shouldn't get on your dress since it's so high up on your back. Another thing to consider, if it bothers you that much, is wearing your hair down.

But honestly, I could hardly notice it from the first pic.

    I have the same problem

Although today I am getting a spray tan. The place I found sprays you tho so not a machine

And supposedly they use different products. I have no idea but I'm getting their lightest tan possible in hopes I'm not orange! Wish me luck haha

@MM, the first picture is from months ago before I spent any time out in the sun this summer. My hair isn't long enough to cover it. Tabatha, follow up and show me what your tan looks like when you're done. The tanning salon said that if it doesn't start to look how I want it that they can do a spot spray tan to blend out those tan lines, so I may give that a shot.

I have the same issue. I just tried to stop going in the sun (it's been really rainy lately anyway) and hope that it fades enough by the wedding to not look so bad. I'm just not gonna worry about it. I was thinking of getting a spray tan but I don't want to have to buy new foundation. Although my tan lines aren't quite as defined as yours because I didn't always wear the same type of shirt all summer. I would do spray tan if I were you

Get the spray tan and have them go heavier on the un-tanned area. Use a GOOD salon and do a trial run before your wedding. I would also go 2 days before so any rub-off happens before hand. I have gotten spray tans a million times for dance since stage lights make me look like a ghost and as long as you go to a good salon and spread out the timing you won't look orange I promise!

My FSIL got sprayed tan for her bridal shower. She had a person spray her as oppose to a machine and it look so natural and not like an oompa loompa. The thing that you gotta keep in mind with spray tan if you go that route is that the color will set in an get darker as the day goes by. So if you do get someone to spray you, don't go too dark in shades...I'm sure a professional spray tanner will let you know an advice you what's best. Good luck!
