I didnt imply that i would have someone plan my ENTIRE WEDDING for free! I stated to HELP.

Our DJ offered to do our wedding FOR FREE when I asked what the cost of DJ'ing a wedding with him was.

Our photographer whom i also asked "What is the cost for shooting a wedding from start to finish." His response was "FOR YOU I will do it for $200 plus a hotel room so I don't have to drive home 100 miles. I will give you copywrite and a disk with all the photos."

I didn't "BEG" people to give me free things or demand them to cater to me FOR FREE.

And we are well within our BUDGET. Thanks for implying that we may be "POOR" We are paying for and picking up any additional that we need with our own funds as well.

Of course! For me, as my wedding date gets closer more people have been offering to help set up and clean up. Most of them have been bridal party members and our families.

For me a helping "coordinator" is cool but I don't want anyone to purchase a thing for my wedding that has to do with decor but me. Nobody has my eye and I'm going for a unique bold look. I'm slightly worried about my mom's taste she's very regular for stuff like this. I m havibg a bold unique bash and she's only getting ring pillow, card box, flutes n small stuff.

I called it Wedding Tech Support.

Oh for sure! I wouldn't want anyone purchasing that stuff either. It would be awesome tho if there was a person who knew what I was wanting/needing and was able to say, "Hey! I came across XYZ at ABC store and it's on sale for $$$." To give me a heads up instead of running all over and trying to find certain things or compare prices.

I believe it is called a bridal attendant! A friend of mine had one. You can totally designate friends & family to help you execute things without a title though. Just ask those you are close to. Maybe designate just one thing to each person. Rather than overwhelming one person. I’ve found friends & family are more than willing to help out!

I didn't really ask anyone to do it but I always asked for their opinions of stuff I found

I asked my mom to help with a lot of the running around but I was lucky, she retired in January and was BORED! My personal experience was that almost everyone was willing to help where they could but I wouldn't saddle 1 person with it all (unless you have a bored retiree like me lol).

HAHA I wish! I dont know if my mom plans to retire any time soon! I may ask an aunt and maybe a few cousins if they'd like to help. Id most certainly turn to my MOH but she is in another state so she isn't readily accessible at the moment either. I just feel stuck and not sure who to ask or to see what a few people would like to or willing to be able to help with.

Also...my FH doesn't care and has been LESS than helpful! lol he always says, "Just do whatever you want honey..." and thaaaaaaaaat doesnt help...and leads to me getting pissed off at him and then an argument happening. I just want someone i can turn to to help a little.

Oh it would be great to have "personal shopper" they call it. Aah dreams.

I am happy to announce to all of you that so rudely commented and were so easily offended as if i asked YOU personally, to do all the work of my wedding for free...

I HAVE HIRED A PROFESSIONAL DECORATOR. Thank you to the others who gave me ideas without casting judgement.
