Perks of being a bride/groom

I can't wait to change my last name! I was married before and didn't change my name back after the divorce. I never thought much about it until things got serious between my FI and I.

My sister is my MOH and I feel like we are getting even closer through the planning process.

Otherwise, I don't feel like there is much of a difference. I went to 2 wedding conventions and did not like them, at all. I just found them to be too much and too busy. I also feel kind of awkward showing my ring when people ask to see it.

We will be going cake testing soon, and I am feeling pretty certain that that will make the 'perk' list!

Hklo- my sister is my MOH also and I agree that we are getting closer than we were before. This wedding has forced us to see each other more frequently. I definitely think cake tasting will make the perk list!

@Katie. Me too!!! I can't wait to get rid of XH's last name. I also love the fact that as the bride and groom, it's everyone we know and love coming to the wedding.

Having an excuse to play in Publisher (DIY invitites and what-not) any time I have nothing else to do
