Perfect Honeymoon Spot in Sept/oct

Tishanda, on June 20, 2020 at 10:26 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 17
Hello brides! My fiancé and are are getting married on September 26th and are planning on leaving for our honeymoon on September 28th. We cannot come to a common ground on where to go for our honeymoon. We want something that is cost effective for the both of us. I would like to be on the beach but my fiancé is not sold on the Caribbean due to hurricane and rain season during the September/October time frame.

Please help me with suggestions! Thank you in advance.

What do you two like to do? Is he not sold on the Caribbean *just* because of the weather, or does he want something different than a beach?

Just because of the weather. When we were doing our research it says it rains a lot in Sept/Oct timeframe. I’m pretty well traveled but I always go during summer so I have no idea.

Thank you. We were looking at that as one of our options.

How do y’all feel about mountains? I know where I’m at in NC, fall foliage wouldn’t be quite ready by that time, but New England is usually rather pretty. Cabin in the mountains is what we’re doing.

Go to Aruba! Typical weather, year round 85, low humidity & sunny. Also it’s outside of the hurricane zone in the Caribbean, because it’s so far south. I can’t recommend going there enough - clear water, white sand beaches , tons of activities & restaurants! It’s gorgeous and I’ve never had bad weather any time I’ve visited.

I don't know where you're from, but I recommend trying out Pismo Beach in California, I have a friend that takes his family out there, and he says that it's always best to go during September and October because it's much warmer there than it is during the summer.

If you really want to do the Carribbean don't avoid it just because of hurricane season. Hurricane season runs from June 1 - December 1 so it's literally half the year. Even though Sept/Oct is peak season it's still unlikely that it will be a problem. Just buy travel insurance or book through an agent who can offer a quick change if needed. However, there are also some other great recommendations on here including Florida (you can do Disney, the Keys, Miami, or one of the other nice beach areas but it's still hurricane season), California, or Puerto Rico for options within the U.S. Hawaii is great but expensive, we just booked our honeymoon there and it added up quick.

Ireland, France, Italy, England, Madrid are beautiful places to visit during that time of year during the fall the landscapes are so much more vibrant and full of those classic fall colors. You also get the timeless sceneries and authentic foods. Traveling within state I would say Puerto Rico has very classical traditional place to visit, you can never go wrong with Hawaii, and Alaska is definitely a hidden gem in this world. I just recently visited this summer and it was breathtaking I will be returning again in the winter (northern lights) !Also keep in mind during this pandemic you can save greatly in your tickets just book in advance Smiley smile I ended up paying $302 round trip what would normally cost me $1,200. Best of luck and congratulations Smiley ring Smiley heart

I think it depends on what you want to do. We are leaving for our Honeymoon the day after Labor Day to South Lake Tahoe. There are tons of outdoor activities and the flights are super cheap right now too!
