I agree with all of those. Also anyone you are pressured to invite to please others.

However a plus one is NOT a significant other, it is a random stranger. A significant other is an automatic invite regardless of how long/recently they have been together. It is highly disrespectful to ask someone to celebrate your relationship while ignoring their.

    Right?
I am inviting some coworkers because they are awesome people, even if we don’t hang out after work, they are excited for me, why not have people excited for me at my wedding?

I’ve moved so much in my life, there are people I haven’t seen in 20 years and I’m thrilled they want to come!
Plus ones? I don’t want people to feel uncomfortable at my wedding, if they want a date, I am probably giving them a plus one.
Kids? Invited - but I also don’t have people who will let the kids ruin things by knocking over tables, etc so it’s not an issue.
Now...my brother has six kids, they all are married and each has two or more children. That’s over 30 people - he knows I’m not inviting his hoard is totally understands LOL
