People who got engaged during the pandemic, when are you planning your wedding for?

I got engaged in June 2020 and getting mixed reactions to my plan to do a May 2021 wedding. I have been researching but postponing signing venue contracts for 4 months now because I'm nervous how things will be then. We would like to get married sooner rather than later (before next June 2021) and plan on having our ceremony at a Catholic Church. The reception is the whole issue because we will need to celebrate somehow with all the people that flew in for it. All the venues in Philadelphia have high F&B minimums which makes it tough. I'm happy to do a small dinner celebration with like 50 people but I can't even find any restaurants/venues that would accommodate that due to price minimums/requiring buying out the whole restaurant for 20k+. We live in apartments and don't know anyone that could do a backyard/home celebration for us either.

What are the rest of you who got engaged somewhat recently doing? Are you signing 2021 contracts?

We got engaged in August 2020 and are getting married in October 2021. We are having a super small wedding (something we wanted even before COVID) with 30-40 guests. We are also in the Philly area and rented out a cute B&B about 30mins outside of Philly to have our wedding at.

We got officially engaged April 2020 and are getting married April 23,2021. We have signed contracts but before signing I was sure to ask if everything was to get shut down again due to covid what would happen then? I will either be refunded or I can just pick a new date for when it all opens again whichever we prefer. We are trying to keep our wedding small due to covid only about 60 people. And our state guidelines right now are half capacity and our venue holds 250 guests so we would still be able to have 125 if we chose to but we prefer to keep it low.

I've been engaged for a few years now and our wedding date was supposed to be June 2020 for our 10 year anniversary, obviously we postponed. Got a new venue for June 2021, but now we're highly considering pushing back another year to June 2022. I realized I wasn't even excited for it anymore because if we do it 2021, it might not even be what we want. We'll have to cut the guestlist down and require masks. Why pay all that money for something that isn't exactly what we want. Plus my mom is the most important person and she's high risk, and I will never risk her health for my wedding. I was so depressed after postponing the first time, but this time I around, I actually feel better postponing to 2022.
