People panicking

Why is everyone so concerned about weddings in July or August? Seriously? China is doing much better now and the virus was discovered in December 2019. That was 4 months ago... calm down people and be glad that your wedding isn’t in March, April, or (especially early) May. I can’t even come on this...
Why is everyone so concerned about weddings in July or August? Seriously? China is doing much better now and the virus was discovered in December 2019. That was 4 months ago... calm down people and be glad that your wedding isn’t in March, April, or (especially early) May. I can’t even come on this forum to look for advice because it’s causing me so much anxiety. May 9 bride here.

August brides are worried because they still have time to make changes and save money/deposits. Also, no one really knows what is going to happen or when. I moved my wedding to August 7th but have told everyone not to act on it until things start to consistently turn around - and for weeks, not days or hours. I'm not acting on my new date other than moving vendors. If August doesn't happen - we're eloping in September. I haven't told anyone when - because there is still hope for August. Maybe. Right now, my own bridal party is challenged to attend the August date.

The upside is a wedding like my grandmothers. Maybe I'll even look for a 'smart' (fancy) suit to wear. Find the upside, there is always one to find.

I’m just upset and concerned. I’ve been with my fiancé for 8 years. Also, most of my family is high risk. I’m sorry that I took it the wrong way. I didn’t mean to.

I accept your apology. Smiley heart

I honestly and truly wasn't trying to be mean! (which is why I'm responding after saying I wasn't, lol.) I apologize if I triggered you by responding. We're all frustrated and confused and hurt. We're really all in this together.

Just ignore the people complaining about the "small stuff." Moving an entire wedding is such a HUGE deal, especially when it's out of our control. I'm getting married in a government-owned building, so it may not even be open! It's all terrible! But we're going to be better people for it, I promise!

Sending you lots of love and light. (And seriously, take a break from all this chaos!!!! Smiley xd )

I’m getting married in a city owned venue (historic) so I’m waiting it out to see what they’re going to do as well. As of right now, they have a 10 people rule until the April. I’m not going to look at the forums anymore as it is too upsetting. I just want to stay at home with my fiancé but we both have to continue working. I wish you the best as well.
