We have several cousins who are trying to bring kids to our wedding even though we have specified that it is adults only. They are flying out and saying they will just come to the ceremony. The ceremony is 15 minutes long in a park across the street from the reception. I feel like they are trying to force us into allowing the kids last minute. We have a venue where all the chairs and tables have to be brought in so there will be no extra and no ability to add on last minute. Plus it is really unfair to those who respected our no kids wishes. Help!!! Has anyone death with this?

Wow, what is wrong with some people? Haha adults only doesn't mean adults and kids! I would tell them outright that there will be no children permitted and to stay home if they can't understand that. It's not your job to accommodate their children or childcare needs.

I agree, stand your ground. Like a PP said, this is your wedding, NOT a family reunion. If you have to be blunt, then so be it!

I think pointing out to this cousin that none of the other cousins are bringing their kids may send her the message that you will not cave on this. I know it's hard, but I hope you don't give in.
