Pens for addressing invites!

Kylene, on June 5, 2014 at 12:25 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 13

Random question, but does anyone have suggestions on great pens for addressing invitations? I'm doing them by hand -- print rather than script (an old 1920s font). Heading to some craft stores after work but have no idea where to even start -- types of pens, brands, etc. Any help out there?

I bought a sparkly blue pen from Walmart. It came in a pack of 6 or so sparkly pens. lol

I don't think it really matters too much. People won't really pay attention to the envelopes and they will get thrown out. Save some money and go with something cheaper.

I used Sharpie Pen, fine tip. They're the best. No bleeding or anything.

I use a Le Pen for most of my writing. It comes in a million colors, it's available at art supply and craft stores, and it's dirt cheap. They write beautifully and don't smear or bleed.

I used a purple marker from Joann's for the invites and I just purchased the Sharpie Pen to use on my bridal shower thank yous. I really like the way the Sharpie writes.

I got an extra fine pen by Recollections at Michaels. I like it a lot better than the Sharpie Fine Pen I had gotten. I found it does not bleed and it writes more beautiful than the sharpie one.

Totally valid question! I was hoping to get Le Pen, but didn't have luck finding one and the shipping cost to Canada was silly. I went with a 0.3mm Sharpie fine tip, and really liked it. It wrote smooth, it didn't bleed and it looked nice. It was a second choice, but I was totally happy with it. I think it was $16.99 or $19.99 for a 4-pack and I got it in the Art section at Michaels with a 40% off coupon. I think the 0.3mm might be slightly thinner than the standard thin tip, if I'm not mistaken.

I am a Le Pen ADDICT. It is seriously not good that there's an art store in my neighborhood that has them in a million colors.

I addressed mine with Le Pen. Although I do love me some Sharpies. I used them constantly at work but they only come in a few colors and my green wasn't one of them.
