Party favors?

Andrea, on August 22, 2018 at 7:41 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 52

Hey,

What kind of party favors are you beautiful individuals getting for your wedding guests?

I am having a smaller wedding (Probably not surpassing 70 people)

For those having weddings with a larger number of guests, what sort of party favor best fit your budget and was perfect for you and your fiance?

I got personalized gold wine stoppers with a topper that had our wedding date. They came in little boxes with gold ribbon

We are having only 15 people plus us and 3 are small kids and 1 has severe autism----so for favors, we got a bunch of beach themed stuff and we are making bags the night before for everyone. We went to Etsy and found tons of cool stuff.

We’re having a bigger wedding. Around like 200 guests probably. And we’re doing a sweet table. Cute little bags with tons of sweets to put in the bags and take it home

We are doing different accent cookies for each Disney themed table. Example: Little mermaid table will have accent cookies of dinglehopper and mermaid tail. Cinderella doing the castle and a crown cookie. The pictures are actually the work from my baker.

I decided to skip them since ive heard most people end up leaving them behind. But I have heard great things about giving candy as favors.

Oh, really? I'm a bit shocked by that.... I would think guests would love to take a token home... candy is always great!!

We're not doing traditional favors. There will be a small card at each place setting advising we've made a donation in our guests' honor to the American Cancer Society in lieu of favors.

90 percent of the time they are left or end up in the trash or someone’s junk drawer. The only kind people tend to take are edible favors. My wedding planner plans very expensive weddings and told me how often they’re left and recommended we skip them. We are having a 5 course meal and an open bar so I think that’s all guests need.

We are having an 80s themed wedding, so we are doing an 80s themed candy buffet. We’re getting all candy that was big in the 80s. We’re only have about 60 guests, and doing this as a party favour allows us to buy as little or as much as we want. I’m also trying to come up with a container to put the candy in that they could find useful afterwards.
