Are your ceremony and reception at the same place?

Most places have a minimum rental time of 3 hours around here. We're renting a limo to take the bridal party and parents from the hotel to our venue (ceremony and reception are at the same place). The guys will go in one trip and then it'll come back for the girls. We're just renting it for 3 hrs. We got a 54 passenger charter bus for our guests staying at the hotel (there's a lot!) It'll take two trips after the reception since the bridal party will be taking the bus back to the hotel.

We wanted to have one, but they are so expensive and many companies have a minimal rental time, usually 2-3 hours. Our ceremony and reception are in one place, so if we decide to get one we would probably use it for the bridal party to get to the venue before the ceremony, during cocktail hour to take pictures around the area, and to take FH and I back to the hotel at the end of the night.

We are getting one to take people from a central location near the hotel(s) to the venue and then to take people back there at the end of the night--it's expensive and there's a lot of idle time, but that's the only way we can really get people safely to and fro. We are doing a school bus, most likely, b/c it's way cheaper--though with some elderly guests we are concerned about no a/c, so might splurge on the coach.

We are also getting a limo for me and the BMs to get from hotel to venue, that one will just be for minimum time and then I will ride the bus back with FH and everyone else who uses that service after it's all over. Ceremony and reception at the same place.

We wanted a party bus, but the quote was out of this world for only a few hours... we're doing school buses and we have them all day and night.

Our limo provider has a 4 hour minimum. Unfortunately, the timing of it all is not going to work out. Our ceremony is at 2 p.m. and we will probably be getting on the bus around 3:15. Our reception starts at 5 p.m. and we will arrive by 5:45 just in time for dinner to be served. We will only be using 2.5 hours worth.

We did a combo of the hotel's complimentary shuttle van and a small shuttle bus. We skipped the limo and rode the shuttles with our guests, which was cheaper and actually super fun - one of my friends literally boosted me into the front seat of the van for the ride back, and then pretended like he was going to close the door on my dress.

Most places we checked with had a minimum of 4 hours, and also were between $900 and $1000 for the minimum for a 14 passenger party bus! Its pretty high.

That being said, we will be using it to get to/from hotel and ceremony and to/from photos and to reception ONLY. Everyone is local, so the only couple going to a hotel is us, and we are actually just gonna call a cab and be done with it.

You could try a shuttle bus! That was much cheaper and most shuttle bus companies offer 8 hours to be used in any increment.

We're also doing school buses! 4 hours in a limo bus was $1550 compared to 6 hours of a school bus for $370. Can't beat it!

We're doing a limo bus for the wedding party. It will pick everyone up at the hotel after the first look pictures, drive us to the church, and then drive us to the reception. At the end of the reception, everyone can walk back to the hotel (it shares a parking lot with the reception venue).

We have a limo for 6 hours. FH and I are getting ready in separate locations so the limo will pick up the men and take them to the church then go get the ladies. Then the whole BP will go take photos after the ceremony.
