Parents reception entrance songs

We aren’t having our parents announced at the reception. I’ve actually never seen that done before; I’ve only seen wedding party and bride & groom entrances. Are there any songs that are special to your parents? Or have you asked them if they have any songs they would like to be introduced to?

I've never seen parents introduced at the reception grand entrances, though if you wanted to include them, you could always play the first dance songs from their own weddings for them to walk into? Or maybe have them walk in and dance to their own first dance song for 10-20 seconds before introducing the next person?

I find it so funny that you haven't seen the parents introduced at the grand entrance. All the weddings I've been in and attended have done this. I wonder if it's a northern thing, as I'm in Maine? You have a good idea tho, of having them walk out to their first dance song! I may do that! Thanks,

View Quoted Comment It's definitely possible that it's a regional thing! Or maybe only done in some social circles. From the weddings that I've attended, I've only seen the wedding party (plus flower girls and ring bearers) and bride and groom introduced. Including the parents (and possibly grandparents too) is a fun idea though!

I like that idea! My bridal party has already picked up out all of their songs/dance moves for the entrance. That would've been easier though!

Both sets of our grandparents and parents are waking in to Nothing But A Good Time by Poison ☺️

It must be a regional thing. I've been to 25+ weddings on the west coast and have never seen a wedding where parents on either side were introduced.
