Parent Wedding Photos

Andreya, on April 8, 2016 at 11:18 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

My parents and my FH's parents have both been married for over 30 years, so we are planning on displaying their wedding photos somewhere on our big day. I LOVE my parent's photo! They're so young and cute and they look so clueless! It's precious! Also, my mom made her own sundress to wear to the courthouse, and my dad's tie is ridiculous.

Do any of you plan on having your parent's or grandparent's pictures anywhere? If you have them on file, share them! I love seeing old wedding pictures!

My grandparents on their wedding day in 1942. My grandma was wearing her "Sunday best."

My parents are happily divorced and both remarried. For my brother's wife's shower last year, my brother told my parents he wanted to use their first wedding photo for decoration at the shower. My mom half believed him and called me like, "why the heck does he need that?" lol. They really had photos from their second marriages.

We aren't doing that, but I would love to get a photo of me, my mom, and grandmom's hands showing the generations of rings. I love when I see generation photos!

Thanks! They were married after only knowing each other for 3 months. I guess my grandma was supposed to move away with her family, but they didn't want to leave each other. They ended up secretly getting married in the back of the church late at night that way they could stay together. They were married over 60 years when my grandfather passed away.

I definitely plan on displaying this picture somewhere at my reception
