Parent Gifts

They do not have to be the same gifts as they probably don't like the same things. It isn't necessary to give them gifts, but if they have helped out a lot with the wedding it is a nice gesture. I racked my brain for months on what to get our parents and finally decided I would make them a nice album of our wedding pictures once we get the pro pics back. I wrote them out a nice thank you not explaining this to give them at the rehearsal dinner when we are handing out the other gifts.

Our parents are helping pay for our wedding so we wanted to give them something to say thank you.

My parents are big Nascar fans. They race twice a year in MI so we got them tickets for the June race here. For my FMIL we are looking at getting her tickets to a country concert.

We talked about different gifts but we wanted something they would enjoy and have memories of rather than something that sits on a shelf or in a drawer. We are also giving them photos after the wedding.

We are doing a framed picture from our engagement session. As well as an album each from our wedding. Our photographer has a package for it

Our photographer is making 3 (my parents, FS's dad & stepmom, FS's mom & stepdad) smaller albums for us. Obviously we won't have them to give at the rehearsal dinner. We haven't figured out how we are handling that part yet. We may just write a nice note and then mail the albums later.

I'm planning on scrapbooking albums for the parents. So at the RD I'm going to give them a card that says they'll be receiving a handmade scrapbook album after the wedding. Hopefully, I can get the albums made in a decent amount of time, lol.

There are many sites where you can get a picture made into an afghan or printed on canvas and framed, etc. We are going to find out which kit each set of parents would rather have then get it for their gift. Once the wedding pictures come in, they can choose one and mail it in. My mom is already excited about it
