Parent gifts for rehearsal dinner ?

Brenda, on August 8, 2013 at 11:09 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2

So the only one that has done so much for my wedding and thats paying for it all is my mom. From the moment she knew I was engaged, she acted as if she was my wedding planner. Both me and my FH appreciate all her hard work and wanted to get her a special gift to give at the rehearsal dinner. My dad and future MIL wil be there as well. My dad has helped in a few things as well such as getting my transportation car for the day of and i believe he contributed some money as well. My FMIL only helped cook in the bridal shower but we still aporeciate any work. Since I'm getting my mother a gift, am I supposed to give something to my dad and FMIL as well? And any ideas as to what? Thanks!

Welcome to WW, Brenda! I think it's always nice to get a little something for the people that helped raise and support you throughout your life. It can be as simple (and cheap) as a heartfelt note thanking them for their support; many ladies do photo albums after the wedding (there are often Groupon deals to make them inexpensive.) I'd say to give them some small token of appreciation. We made our parents platters that we each wrote a short note on then baked in for permanency. For Christmas, they got double frames with a wedding picture and and invitation in it.

I hope you'll stick around and update that avatar (the rings) to ANY unique picture from Google we can remember you by. This post tells you how and more: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/welcome-to-the-weddingwire-forums-please-read-if-you-are-new/b433c40c1a62b96a.html
