Pantyhose, thigh-highs, or bare legs?!

SandK2015, on June 30, 2015 at 2:09 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 30

What are my fellow brides wearing? I'm already stressed about the torture chambers that my feet will be in, but they match my dress PERFECTLY, so I will suffer for a little while to look good!

Full pantyhose are like leg jail.

Not sure how comfortable thigh-highs w/a garter belt will be either, but going bare may not be the best because the shoes will probably give me blisters.

Thoughts/Opinions?

I didn't wear anything but Spanx. Some of the WW girls told me about Moleskin for the shoes. And I didn't end up wearing the shoes that I had doctored with it, it definitely helped and I would suggest trying that before wearing panty hose in July

I'll probably do bare legs for the day and then change into thigh highs.

Bare legs for me. Pantyhose are evil.

Also, I'm getting married on a beach in sandals, so they'd be silly.

For you, what about those tiny little socks they have now that don't protrude from the shoe at all?

Can you give us a picture of your shoes, so we can give you suggestions?

I can't go bare on my legs (chub rub), so I'm probably gonna wear jockey skimmies (which are my go to in dresses). I really don't want to wear spanxs.

Nothing! Just my something blue panties.

I don't even know the last time I wore pantyhose, but I can't imagine wearing them in July.

I have to wear pantyhose for work if I wear a dress or skirt, it's required in the dress code. So although I am used to wearing them, I'd rather not on my wedding day. It's hot enough in that dress. I'm going to have bare legs.

Bare for me! I fully plan to be barefoot at my reception however, so any form of sock wouldn't do well for me.

    My thoughts:

No one will hardly ever see your shoes except in photos, so for the love of god, you want to be comfortable on your damn wedding day. Change the shoes.

Pantyhose won't do anything for ill-fitting shoes.

If they're high heels, high heels should NOT hurt, that just means they're cheap.

I also HATE the thought of pantyhose!! Bad enough, I'm going to be wearing one of those full torso bras! Ugh.

I'm not sure if those little socks will work, my shoes are cut out on the inside and peep toe. Here's a pic of them.

Bare legs for me too, definitely not dealing with tights/pantyhose during the summer.

If your shoes are going to give you blisters, start breaking them in now. Put on a couple pairs of thick socks on then put on the shoes and walk around the house (even sit and watch t) for 45 minutes or so and they will slowly break and stretch out, which should help prevent blisters (somewhat)

Those shoes are gorgeous! I would definitely try moleskin and see if that helps at all.

Someone mentioned chub rub, have you tired Pure Romance, between the sheets works amazing to stop chub rub

I'm going bare legs! For those shoes I would probably go bare too. (: Love the shoes!

Wait, what's the issue here? Those are 3 inch thick heeled shoes with a 1inch platform... I can't imagine those being uncomfortable for anyone?

I don't wear heels, like EVER! I prefer flip flops..lol...so I'm a wimp when it comes to having to wear "real" shoes for anything. But I LOVE the look of my shoes and they match my dress perfect, so I figured I can suck it up and deal for a few hours, or at least through the ceremony & pictures.
