Pampered Chef Shower

ChampagneTaste, on January 7, 2014 at 8:47 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9

My peeps are giving me ideas for my Wedding shower. Has anyone ever had or hosted one? Pros? Cons?

Is the E-card true? IS IT?

My FMIL is hosting an online pampered chef shower for me since all of Tom's family lives across the entire country & all of mine is in one localized area. I don't know if I'd like an actual pampered chef shower just because they're too interactive & I don't want to have to pay that much attention.

Wouldn't be my preference, but then I used to be a chef. All you really need are three good knives, two pots, a saute pan and a strainer......lol.....

I like to think cutting boards, graters, peelers, mixing bowls, whisks, food processor etc..could be handy too Smiley winking

I just don't want a pushy sales pitch. I'll dig further, thanks ladies!

I would see it as extremely TACKY. After all there will be a sales pitch and the pamperred chef person will want to "take orders" not only for your gifts but for things the other ladies want too.

Frankly the shower should be about you, not about someone selling overpiced kitchen crap. (And yes the e-card is true).

Your shower should consist of good friends, good drinks, good times, and presents your friends picked for you not things they had shoved down their throats.

I haven't been to a Pampered Chef Shower but I did go to a Tastefully Simple one that was actually a lot of fun. We did the presentation and had Sangria instead of doing any shower games then ate lunch and she opened gifts.

Yes, definitely no shower games or opening presents... not my cup of tea. I mean the whole idea of a shower is pretty tacky, no?

Sangria is always a party hit!

I have been to several PC parties, my friend was a dealer and I hosted 1 or 2. BUT I never heard of the shower thing, that sounds tacky to me. I know they have a wedding registry deal but I won't be doing that, Last party Friend was the hostess not the consultant and is not selling anymore. The consultant tried to get me to do a wedding registry, I passed on it. I have more PC crap than I use so it will be a no unless someone wants to get me some more rubber spatula/ bowl scraper things. I use those all the time for all kinds of things, LOL.
