I tried using a card instead of the metal scraper on the plate to get the excess polish off the design and success!! the details transfered on to the stamper beautifully. . . . but i CANNOT get them to go on to my nails!!

Is there a certain stamper or polish anyone recommends for this? or brand of plate in case i can't get these to do the trick??

Oh! One last thing! Use sticky tape or a lint roller to clean your stamper, never ever acetone or remover!

OK, I have the light purple clear stamper (from your picture) and usually buff the bottom.

I guess I can try not pushing down so hard when trying to pick up the stamp with the stamper. I will report back but I don't think I am pressing that hard.

Why acetone on stamp but not stamper?

    Sorry for so many questions.

The metal plate isn't going to deteriorate from the acetone, but the stamper itself is usually made from silicone and the acetone will degrade it over time, and make it stop picking up. At that point, it's pretty much ruined. The polish comes right off the stamper with tape or a lint roller though. Smiley smile

    ETA: no worries, ask away!

If a lighter touch and rolling don't help, definitely try the magic eraser trick. There are several different versions of the clear stamper, and I know a few ladies who have had to buff theirs, while others haven't.
