Justine, on June 19, 2015 at 11:33 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 42

Anybody know of a service that does this? I'm in Columbus, Ohio.

Owls are dangerous animals. This is unlikely to be an available service anywhere.

I'm really confused. Is your wedding at Hogwarts?

I will say this is a first.......but please don't use live animals as a prop in your wedding.

I've worked with birds for many years and studied ornithology in college. Ive never known owls to be dangerous? Especially trained ones.

Please don't use animals as a prop. They are dangerous and unpredictable!

    Also...aren't owl's nocturnal?

Wouldn't it be considered cruel to have an owl as a ring bearer in a wedding..unless the wedding was at night..in that case you might freak a ton of people out.

    plus.. owl poo

ETA: I keep capitalizing owl and I don't know why.

They are predators but usually animals don't go after larger animals (I.e. Humans). If you think about it, dogs are predators.

I was asking if anybody knew of a company. Not your opinions, especially from people not knowledgeable about the species. Owls are nocturnal but also come out during the day, so no it is not cruel.

I don't think that people hire out trained owls to carry your wedding rings. I know people train raptors, but they are used for hunting, not ring delivery. They are predators, like the other ladies said.

Okay, well, if you studied ornithology, I think your best bet would be to contact someone from that program.

It's a weird request, you HAD to have expected some confusion and backlash.

    ETA: Google fail.
