Overwhelmed feelings before wedding?

Cassidie, on August 11, 2020 at 3:25 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 18
Is anyone else feeling super overwhelmed the week before their wedding?? I don't think I have ever cried so much for so many reasons. I feel so many emotions and I honestly feel crazy! Did anyone else get overwhelmed for things you usually would never have stressed about before until the wedding came? Is this normal or is anyone else feeling this too??

It is totally normal. I almost called off my wedding about two weeks prior because I was so stressed. My husband was in Alaska at the time on vacation which I wasn't thrilled about and I felt like I had a million things to do on my own. That wasn't totally true because I had my mom who would've done anything to help me, but at the time I felt so alone.

Oh that makes me feel so much better! I feel very alone! I have a great group of people I can always lean on but there are always just those few that feel like are getting on my last nerve. I dont want to be perceived as a bridezilla but this is our wedding and I don't want to have any regrets. Thats why I keep a lot of it to myself just because I dont want to stress others out...

Normal! And my hubby & I had a “maybe we shouldn’t get married!” fight that week too. 😳 Take a bubble bath, go for a walk, try to relaaaaax.

I don't think anyone will think you are being a bridezilla unless you are making crazy demands. Like I said, it's totally normal how you feel. I would do what Pirate & 60s Bride recommended. My husband recently bought me bath bombs and I love them. Do something that takes your mind of the wedding.

I felt that way until I got organized! I made a list of everything I needed to do, and I spent all last weekend getting things done! It was very busy, but now I feel great! I do a little each day and the rest will be completed this weekend. Last weekend I also took some time for myself and got a pedicure, etc. We’re almost there!

It’s completely normal. I’m 60 days out and have these moments.
Just remember that’s what these forums are for to help one another

I’d say a massage too but right now, no shop/spa is open. 😖 A good cry and a hug from your honey-bunny can help. 🤗 ♥️

You are not alone! Mine is 3 weeks from Friday and my FH has been having meltdowns a lot 😂 mostly because of COVID. I expected some people to bail but I don’t think my FH did and when some people cancelled on us he got really upset. I try to be the positive one for his sake but I definitely feel the stress!! I just try not to read anything online or watch the news bc it is too insane. Now that all our final deposits are coming up money is stressing me out but it’s whatever. I def feel the stress though as we near the finish line. I have cried a few times because of covid I’m sure more to come lol.

We had a DW (8 hour drive), so once we packed up and left we were all, ok, here we go... and timelines were tight but we mostly enjoyed!

I’ve been feeling like that and more emotional than usual. Covid really didn’t help plus I had a lot of guests drop out last minute.

I didn't cry that much, but I also didn't get much sleep the entire week before the wedding, so I'm sure I was on edge. I calmed down about 20 minutes before the ceremony (I was calm enough that I didn't even freak out when people came in and asked me if I was nervous) and then everything was fine.

I can relate to how he is feeling! We are 3 days out and we still have people backing out. 😩 It is super upsetting when you’re so close and everything is paid for. My fiancé is handling it way better than I am. Good luck to you two...you’re in the home stretch!

I didn’t think I was going to be upset planning a wedding, but I have been plenty of times since we’ve got engaged last May.
Keep in mind I didn’t want a wedding at first and then decided to have one.
His family started getting pushy for the wedding. I really didn’t want to invite them. Then the pandemic happened and we had to move our May wedding to Oct, this year. We had to change plans so many times and I think it’s going to happen this time. So I’m hoping by Oct it does happen, I’ve got all my craziness out. 😉Good luck!

I am so overwhelmed! I think Covid has really made the anxiety worse. I am so excited to marry my best friend, but I just want the day to be here so the stress and anxiety can go away.
