I have a bit of a dilemma! My fiancee and I are getting married next October. We opted for a smaller wedding and found a reception space that is PERFECT for us. They can comfortably seat 50 people, however we are currently at 60. We already know that 2-3 people won't be able to make it however I'm cringing over the fact that we might be over. The space said they can worst case put another table together but it will be a bit tight, plus our budget will probably go up a cool 2-3k when everything is said and done with...

My bad. One person did. And it was terrible, rude advice. In telling you not to do a tiered wedding, she described a tiered wedding. If you were looking for helpful, honest advice, I hope you read the rest of the comments.

It wasn't half as rude as the advice and posts you have been making. For your information I read every post. There is a fine line between honest and mean. You claimed no one posted so I simply corrected your statement.

    Change your venue? I can't.

Cut your guest list? I can't.

I don't know if you posted this expecting people to just tell you everything would work our fine. Over inviting is always a very bad idea but your venue said they could add an extra table if everyone comes so I don't see the issue. How many of those 60 guests are plus ones? Can you cut any plus ones? Children? And PTO is "a thing" everywhere not just California, but that doesn't mean people want to use it for a wedding if they get limited days a year.
