Outfits for pre-wedding events

There can be lots of events leading up to a wedding: engagement parties, photo sessions, showers, bachelorette parties (AKA hen dos for UK brides), and the rehearsal dinner. If you are having these types of events, did you get a new outfit for it or wear something you already have? The current trend is for the bride to wear another white dress to these events. Are you following this, or picking whatever color you want?


I got two new outfits for pre-wedding stuff. I know I will never have another time in my life with so many parties thrown in my/FH's honor, so I got white dresses for everything. I want all my outfits to say "bride!"

    My fiancé and I are not doing any of the pre wedding party stuff. Our wedding is in October and after over a year of being engaged we finally decided to do an engagement shoot in June lol. We didn’t want one before. So all I need is a dress for that and then rehearsal dinner

    Glad I’m not the only one doing this lol I have a satin jumpsuit and am planning on getting a white lace skirt with matching top on LULUs I will be in white for days lol

    Bridal shower I wore a ivory lace and cream colored dress. For the rehearsal I am wearing leggings that say Bride down the leg, all the bridesmaids have the same with a shirt that says wife of the party. Our rehearsal is a laid back bbq in my FIL back yard. We didnt want anything formal.

    I'm wearing this dress from Lulus for my bridal shower in May. I might just look for a jacket or something that says "Mrs." on the back and wear that over this dress for the rehearsal.
