Outdoor Wedding: Waltz or Cathedral veil?

MrsBest2B, on January 9, 2016 at 7:04 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

I originally wanted a fingertip length veil until they put me in a cathedral veil when I bought my dress. The veil is what made me cry. Howeer, my ceremony is outdoors and it may be too much. I also tried on a Waltz length veil that I liked as well.

Is getting 2 veils as ridiculous as my two wedding bands? (On Etsy it would be about $65 for both...but still 2 veils might be ridiculous)

Thoughts?

I'm veil stupid. What's the difference between a waltz length and cathedral length?

Cathedral is really long. This is me in the $200 (plus) veil they put me in. I would get mine on Etsy for $35 Smiley smile Waltz is a bit shorter. Like knee length maybe?

Do what you want!! If you like both go for it. I've seen outdoor weddings with cathedral veils and they're gorgeous!

Oh yeah, I meant getting two veils to change into the shorter one after the ceremony. I'm not walking around with that thing all night lol

Definitely do cathedral for ceremony if you fell in love with it. Are you going to wear a veil all night? I thought most people took them off after their entrance/early in the reception.

Stunning! Go for both. When else can you wear a veil like that? Never.

714 at first I wasn't planning on wearing it all night, but my mother keeps saying it's the only time I'll be able to wear one (personally, I never really cared about a veil). But I don't want to carry around a cathedral veil so was thinking of getting a second shorter one. Or not lol

Our ceremony was outside on grass and I wore a cathedral length. It was fine! I definitely took it off once we were done with pictures and stuff though. It was definitely something I felt like was more appropriate for the ceremony.

Do whatever with for you. At the price you mentioned buying 2 will still be cheaper than what you would get from the bridal store.

Gorgeous!! My ceremony is out doors and I'm wearing a cathedral veil. Then will change into a shorter one mid length, for after the ceremony.

I think a waltz would still be awkward to wear all night, but I don't like things hanging from me. I love that cathedral veil on you - so I vote cathedral!
