Outdoor Wedding Ready Room?

Private User, on June 9, 2014 at 6:09 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

We're planning an outdoor wedding, but I'm not sure how to keep myself hidden from the groom before walking down the aisle. Also, where did you get ready beforehand if there's no building on site? Any ladies have any tips?

There's not a space for me to get ready at my venue - I'm getting ready at a hotel with my girls and then travelling to the ceremony/reception site.

    What about a pop-up tent?

Tent, for sure...At my venue, there will be just public restrooms for a possible changing area...if you have something like this, bring something to lay on the floor (towels, etc.) so you keep your dress clean. We're hopefully borrowing a pop-up tent, though. Also, we're doing a first look, partly to help calm nerves, partly to do the majority of formal pics before the ceremony, and partly so there's less of an issue of trying to hide from each other at the venue before the ceremony.

Do you know anyone that has an RV or 5th wheel? That way you and your BMs can get ready in style and have someplace to hangout while you're waiting to walk down the aisle

The tent is a good idea, though we're planning to wed on the bridge downtown GR. So there might not be room for that. My grandparents do have a pretty nice RV, thoughSmiley smile And maybe I can set up a curtain or something at the end of the aisle? Thanks for the tips!
