Outdoor wedding problem

Is this a private or public area? If it's private, you could spray a day before or have it professionally sprayed for bugs. I'd just order covers for all the food or serve it inside. You could also invest in things like a bug zapper, traps, citronella candles on every table, and bug spray for guests.

I'd check with the town/city/county to make sure you are allowed to spray. I would assume in public places like that, you wouldn't be allowed to. So I'd look into things like citronella candles to incorporate into your decor, bug spray for guests, covers for food, and fans to help with bugs!

I am not sure you can do much. You're getting married by a body of water in August, which is the dead of summer. I think bugs are going to be an issue regardless of what you do.

Citronella candles, tiki torches, etc. maybe cans of bug spray in the restroom for guests.

Could you have several tiki torches? That would look pretty and help ward off bugs!

Could you have someone spray the area with Yard Guard about an hour before the wedding? I have used it for bbqs and it works for hours. Also, citron type candles all around will both look nice and help with bugs (they make some that smell good now)
