Outdoor wedding.. disasters!

FutureMrsNoel, on October 9, 2013 at 8:25 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

Has anyone attending a wedding, or had a wedding outside that went sour because of Mother Nature? If so how did you turn it around so it didn't ruin it?!

Having a back up plan is the key. Plan for outdoors but be prepared to move it inside.

Our wedding is inside a chapel but the guest have to walk over to the reception hall outside. I bought a dozen golf umbrellas (on ebay $55) for just in case it was raining after the ceremony or for when people are leaving.

My wedding is, in theory, taking place outside. I have 2 backup plans for the ceremony in case the weather doesn't cooperate. We also got a tent for the reception (partly to help block out cold and partly in case of rain - also have heaters in case it gets cold).

I was looking into umbrellas just incase. It's covered but ya never know. I didn't know the best place to get a deal. Thought about looking at dollar tree.com never thought of eBay! The location we have offers a indoor location but holds 100 less people so I guess we shall see!
