Hi everyone, getting married may 2027 and seeking an outdoor venue with a rent for the reception in CT. Any recommendations?

2027 is far away, I wouldn’t count on this wedding happening. You should just leave now, make the right choice for yourself and your wallet. Unless he’s rich and paying for the whole thing, of course.

You always tell people their marriages will fail. But just because you can't imagine a happy life with someone who might actually love you, doesn't mean others can't choose for themselves. You're bitter. Get help and a hobby.

*outdoor catering. Outside catering is using a separate vendor for your food other than your venue. Good luck.

Also women can pay for their own weddings and lives. Sad you don't have the capacity to dream bigger.

That’s funny coming from you, not having a real photo as your profile picture but a flower instead. I’m not bitter, I’m just spreading awareness and trying to save women from the trenches a man will always put them through once they become a “husband”

Lmao yes of course they CAN, but that doesn’t mean they should. But if you’re happy marrying a broke man who can’t provide and leave you stuck paying, then go off! But that isn’t my cup of tea and I find it sad how many are settling for less than the bare minimum to feel like a “princess” when they’re the ones stuck paying. Paying for your own princess treatment is silly, wouldn’t you rather spend your money on better things that will actually last and fulfill your life?

I don't understand your logic. Why would anyone spend money on anything that wasn't about themselves? Maybe take your money and pay for schooling. Or wait around like a princess for someone to take care of you. Yah, that's the way to live.

Whatever floats your boat, if wasting money is your thing then nobody’s gonna stop you, but the divorce lawyer will cost more so keep that in mind before you have to file for bankruptcy and get expensive skin care because you break out and get fat from how miserable you are

If you're looking in CT, I’d check out places like Wickham Park or The Barns at Wesleyan Hills — both have nice outdoor options. Also worth looking at local farms and vineyard venues since a lot of them do outdoor receptions. Good luck with the planning!

If your interested in an outdoor wedding look up preserves, parks and maybe some historical sites. Some free or low cost. One ilof the preserve i found was called lovers leap. So cute.

If you simply love the outside concept and tent, do it. The costs can add up if having to rent the tent and chairs and tables -- more than a fully equipped venue. Also, have a plan in case the weather goes bad. Though, if the guests welcome weather surprises and adventures, just go with the flow.
