Our first dance-- Song question

From the Ground Up by Dan and Shay once we heard this song we loved it...our original song was If I Didn't Have You by Thompson Square

I think it definitely should be something meaningful to you!

We don't have a song. We just picked one we liked.

Probably the closest thing we have to "our song" is Just Like Heaven by The Cure. But it is way too fast for a first dance so we did it for our last dance of the night.

Keep your song personal if you want, nothing wrong with that. From the lyrics it seems like it would be a nice first dance song though.

We didn't use our songs, we didn't know how to dance to Tonight Tonight (Smashing Pumpkins) or Everlong (Foo Fighters). But he walked down to Everlong, and we had Tonight Tonight play during the reception, both as string quartet covers.

We both love classic rock, so we chose Thank You by Led Zeppelin. Word of advice to anyone who chooses it - it briefly stops around the 3rd or 4th minute. Don't assume it's over, because it isn't, lol.

"our song" is I don't dance also and I actually am not using it for that reason. We chose From the Ground Up which is soooo beautiful.

Our song is Tongue Tied by Grouplove - we're definitely not using that, but we'll play it during the reception at some point.

I think we're going to dance to Dead Sea by the Lumineers but we'll probably change our minds 100x.

Colleen-- I'm so glad someone else picked the same song. Its perfect for us, and one night he surprised me outside of his pickup truck blasting the song and danced with me outside under the stars. I want to keep just that memory attached to the song and create a new memory for our wedding with a different song.

Our song is also "I Don't Dance". We have no issue using it. We have STILL never danced together. Our first lesson will be the first time. Damn, I need to get on that!
