Opinions about champagne/ivory dress? (pic included)

I love the ivory over champagne because that's what my dress is I think it looks really elegant and yes rustic fall colors will go very well with it. I'm doing navy and champagne/tan colors. i don't know about orange but wines and other fall colors would still look great. Very pretty dress!

Have the dress you want and the colours you want. Why would ivory over champagne not match? I'm confused. I don't see what the problem is here.

Why do you think ivory/champagne would clash with your colors? If anything I think that might actually work better than white/ivory for a rustic fall wedding. I'm just not understanding your concern.

I think you're overthinking this. I do not think white, ivory, or champagne will clash with any of those colors. Your dress is beautiful and will look great with any fall colors.

I'm having a hard time putting all those colors together in my mind, but I'd take it one step at a time. I do think that wine/burgundy and some chocolate browns would look beautiful next to your dress.

Thanks everyone! I definitely over think things in general- I know that's what I'm doing here. I think my worry is that the champagne has a little bit of a pinkish tone to it which I could see more in some photos and not others, I think it depends on the lighting. So I was worried it would clash with yellow or orange but I'm just going to stop worrying about it and just go with what I want. I appreciate the validation haha thanks for the super fast responses!

It will look great with your colors. The photo didn't look pinkish to me. You will be surprised at how little it will show.

Listen, it's a wedding. All kinds of shades of white will be featured -- from diamond white to champagne. Those colors will be featured in your dinnerware, your flowers, your cake, and your venue. Whichever shade you choose, choose it because it looks great on you. There won't be a single guest who will be thinking, "her champagne gown doesn't match the ivory decor" or "her ivory gown doesn't match the champagne decor". Buy the gown in the color that makes you look fantastic. You are seriously overthinking this.

I have totally had the same internal debate with myself as you're having! I love any dress that's not ivory or white and am actually looking at light gold dresses. At first, I was concerned about whether a light gold dress would fit with my venue, my colors, etc. I believe it was Celia who kindly pointed out that I don't need to match anything, including the mashed potatoes! So, don't overthink it and personally, my thought is that your warm-toned colors will look perfect with your dress!

Those colors will go with everything. I think it's STUNNING.. With the colors you are picking I think it will look so elegant all together. I agree -- you're overthinking it. You will have many more other things to stress over. Just know how amazing you look and no one will worry about anything else

I have an ivory lace over champagne gown as well. Actually, it looks like yours is an Allure from the same collection as mine, maybe? (Your dress was on my list of contenders! It's so pretty.) My colors don't really match my dress...my girls will be in coral and the guys in grey tuxedos. But I don't think the bride has to match anything else. You are supposed to stand out. No one is going to be thinking, "that gown doesn't go with the decor..." They'll just be thinking that you look beautiful.

DRESS TWIN! I choose the same ivory/champagne color as you. I loved that it looked "antique" and "rustic" so that is what I went with. Also, I love how the lace pops over the champagne underlay. In some light, it's hard to tell that it's champagne. I'll attach a picture so you can see what I mean!

Yes @Caitlin! I love it for the exact reasons you just said haha! It does look much more subtle in your picture- it looks like your in brighter light than I was and I was afraid brighter light would just make it look more pink so your example is very helpful. You look gorgeous, are you going to go with the belt? I tried one on but am still undecided about it.

The colors you're talking about will make the ivory and champagne dress seem a more cohesive part of the whole. White with autumn colors is VERY bright. Not bad, but if you want a more rustic feel, go with the more neutral tones. To be fair, I LOVE ivory and cream and antique white far more than white. They feel longer to me. White is only true white for a brief period. Time and life deepen it's color. Even though my dress is new, the antique white make's me feel more connected with our past. And it's a much easier color to reuse as a costume. (Medieval dress, and I can not justify that kind of money for a one time only clothing item.)
