We're doing a full open bar for the whole reception minus the dinner hour Smiley smile We figure that most people will sit down with their drinks to have with dinner and then won't really be looking to get more until after, so there's no need to pay the extra $12pp for that hour....

Our venue is basically "all inclusive" with the full open bar package, seated dinner, venue, officiant, ceremony space, all included for one cost. So yeah we will have a premium open bar.

Open bar: Wine, Beer, Hard Liquor

Cocktail Hour will feature our two Signature Drinks: “Fire Whiskey” for him, “Chocolate Frogs” for me. Yes, based on “Harry Potter”... these can be made at open bar, but will be a “limited time only” preferably.

We did open beer wine and champagne and a cash bar for liquor. but we couldn't bring in outside alcohol.

We are doing an open bar with either a few beers and wines, or possibly a full bar with house liquors. We haven't decided just yet but we know we want to do an open bar instead of cash bar

For those who are doing beer/wine for the dinner and then opening it to full bar afterwards, I'm curious how many guests took advantage of the larger drink selection later in the night. If I was at a wedding and was told that there was only beer and wine when I arrived, I would assume that would be true for my later trips to the bar as well. At first I thought limiting the bar to beer and wine for earlier in the reception and expanding it later was a good idea because it's cheaper and encourages more responsible drinking, but I also don't want to pay for larger bar options later in the night just to have most people stay with beer and wine.
