I much prefer closed. That's what I chose for my dress as well. I think the open back is a little unfinished and unrefined when it comes to this type of dress.

I personally like the closed...but I am biased because I do have a closed corset dress lol. Truthfully I didn't know the open back corset was a thing.

I feel like we could use some clarification, open as in no modesty panel or open as in how wide the opening is where it's laced

I'm going to be doing closed for mine because I didn't know there was an open vs. closed. Also, I feel the closed back would make me feel less self conscious about my back hanging out all day.

Well then it depends on how far down the corset goes, it may be your wedding day but no one wants to see your underwear/shapewear peeking out...or your butt crack

Definitely closed. The open looks to me like the dress didn't fit so they left it gaping open.

I agree with @StPaul, the open looks accidental, like it was supposed to be a zipper, it didn't fit, and they had to quickly turn it into a corset.

I think open is kind of risqué in a modest way... I love it

I like how open corsets look but for some reason they remind me of a beach wedding.
