Open back corset or closed back corset?

I think it would depend on how it looks on you. Dresses can fit differently pending on the body type of the person wearing it. I would go with closed to be on the safe side. My dress has a detachable modesty panel in case I change my mind

I had a closed corset back and it went down to the top of my bum, but if the panel slipped a little bit the bottom of my corset would show my undies in the slightest. So that's something to think about. I also don't have a long torso so that might of had something to do with it.

Idk, they are both very pretty. I didn't know there was a difference, I always thought a corset was just a corset, lol. I learn something new on here everyday.

I'm pretty sure that has to do with how the dress fits...are you planning to order it too small on purpose so the back is more open?

Open looks nice with the skin contrasting against the white. For me, I'm personally choosing the closed corset bc my back is not that toned and my fat may be bunched up back there lol.

Closed for sure. While the "open" look is nice, the modesty panel is there to block anyone from seeing any wrinkles that may form on your back while you're moving. It also protects your skin from the ribbon and vice versa.

My dress has a closed corset back and I like it because they put a hook on to hold it in place, so it feels secure even before it's laced up. If you do open, I would make sure there is something like that to hold it in place so it's not actually dependent on the lacing.

I don't like the open look personally, but that's just my .02

Closed. The open looks like they forgot a piece of fabric or you couldn't fit into it as designed

I don't like the open corset look. It looks unfinished as PP have said.

I like both looks...but if I were to pick one, it would be closed.

Closed... I was at a wedding where the bride removed the panel and it made the dress look cheap
