Online RVSP help!

Mikaela, on January 12, 2017 at 7:59 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

Hi! Does anyone have any experience with online RSVPs? Or advice on which website you like the best? I looked at the knot but the guest list thing is very confusing to me hah. Maybe I have to look at it on a computer? Thank you!

I used weddingwire and its been very easy thus far. My only complaint is that there is no where for a guest to add the name of their plus one so we have had to contact a few people to get the name which is a little annoying. Other then that its been seemless

Great! I used Minted for my wedding website and Online RSVPs, for the older crowd, I just called and asked if they were coming and RSVPd for them so I could keep track of my guest list.

I used square space for my wedding website and rsvp. You can edit it the way you want, however the website does cost money. But it's well worth it to me

I have theknot - at first, uploading the excel sheet can seem like a bit too much work. But I spent maybe 15 minutes transferring everything into the excel sheet and uploading it. And I really like it all now.

Because you can have your guests hit the RSVP button, and they type in their name, and they can fill out the meal choices and so on. However only people whose name you've already input can fill out this form, so John Smith will have to RSVP and his guest would be "John Smith Guest" and he'd have to tell you their name in a separate email or something. Also, if you have quite a few people in your family with the same name (in my family, there are a few fathers / sons with the same first/last name), that fudges up the system too. You'll have to type the names slightly different. i.e. Steve and Steven. Dave and David. Something like that.

I used wedding wire and it worked out pretty nicely. There was a couple issues with people finding their name, but it was because I entered it wrong. So, just be careful with that. Like one of the previous posters, I contacted grandparents and people without so much internet experience by phone and did it for them.
