Online rsvp vs traditional

Hey guys! How many of you utilized the online RSVP option over traditional? Was it challenging to get everyone on board? I’m worried about older relatives who are used to the traditional aspect of mailing in RSVP’s. Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated!

I offered a phone number for a text/call rsvp or online. For the ones the don't rsvp online and respond to us We will enter it manually for them. I am using the guest responses to ensure everyone is seated.

Right now I’m getting a mixture of both online and traditional. For the elderly or those who are not tech savvy, I sent a self addressed stamped envelope. Others I placed our wedding website info on the rsvp card and encouraged them to use that when responding.

We did the same! We had a couple of issues with people not submitting their RSVP'S fully on the WW website, but for the most part people got it. Anyone that wasn't as tech savvy just called me, my mom, or my FMIL and we put them in ourselves.

We're doing both. We will be sending out stamped and addressed envelopes with our RSVP cards. We have our wedding website information directly on the RSVP cards.

I'm doing both. I will send out rsvp cards with each invitation, but there will instructions on how to rsvp online if they prefer.

I would do both or only mail. The one and only time I had to RSVP online the website was not working properly (The Knot) and I had to keep going back to it over a course of several days before it took. It was frustrating as a guest.

. The only rsvp we got online were declines. (2 so far) I told some friends they can do online if they didn’t want to do the mail and they were literally like “I want to do the mail “

We’ve been doing everything online and it works for us. Better at tracking everything down and making sure we have everyone marked on going or not going. But if you’re worried about your older guests I’d mail them one just in case.

I think I will be doing the traditional way, I dont want to be stressed out receiving text messages. I'm fine with receiving an RSVP in the mail. My SIL just did that for their wedding and while i was a bit late in sending mine, I did drop it in the mail and i cant remember if I had to do the postage, I believe I did. BUT there was no online option.

I plan to do online-only. Every time I've tested it so far it has worked fine (I'm using WW). Of course I still have a little while before I'll be sending out invites so I suppose we'll see how it goes then.

We are doing online RSVP for the younger crowd, and stamped envelopes for the older crowd.

I had online only. No one had issues at all (WeddingWire website) - the only problem was human failure because some people apparently forgot to hit enter when they finished RSVPing. I had to make 4 calls out of 40 guests, so not too bad.

I’m planning on doing both and then using the WW tracker to just manually enter the people who RSVPed the traditional way!

I plan to do online only (wedding wire) and put a phone number to call if any issues... it’s nice that it links to your seating chart and tracks everything for you Smiley smile

I personally like the traditional way. I was recently invited to a wedding where they had online rsvp and you could input anyone's name (it literally would accept anyone you wrote in). So no one knew if they were invited or not. It was a mess, and eventually we had to message them asking who is invited.

I have 3/4 online only RSVP cards and 1/4 traditional. This way I can have most of the guests utilize the website and those who are less tech savvy can RSVP woth either mail or online.
