I am so annoyed. How hard is it to use the link on an invitation to say YES or NO? I’ll be honest, I’m extremely disappointed in many people I invited to my special day. I am so annoyed. How hard is it to use the link on an invitation to say YES or NO? I’ll be honest, I’m extremely disappointed in many people I invited to my special day. If I knew I’d have to call, text, and social media message everyone, I would have NEVER sent out invitations at all. This makes me wish I just had a party with my friends and ELOPED. My FH and I are still waiting on 49 people! Granted, they have 9 days, but (aside from a job), why wait?! I want to call them out, but it probably wouldn’t help. I just hope they keep this same energy when it’s something important to them. Slow and unresponsive.

’m sure there are others who feel like me.

......this. I understand impatience and excitement waiting for responses to come in but I don’t understand setting a deadline and disregarding it. If you give someone a deadline, give them *until* that deadline. That’s just the nature of a deadline.

Trust me. I’m far from excited about RSVPs at this point. After I vented (which was essentially the purpose of my post), I am now much calmer. So, I have decided to “wash my hands” of the matter entirely. If I have 40 fewer guests, it’s no “skin off my nose” anymore. Time is not on their side, so they can deal with that on their own.

S/n: It was less of a disregard for the deadline, and the realization that these people are not going to make the deadline. This may sound presumptuous, but if I were the betting type, I’d wager that they never respond or come up with a pitiful excuse. Sounds dismissive, but there’s too much to do to listen to that. Just text me or something. It’s just a lesson for me, honestly. The less people, the better.

Ugh, I am not looking forward to RSVPs! Smiley ups We all have the friend/aunt/cousin that can't follow the rules.

If you didn't want to wait so long for people to rsvp, you should've used a closer date. Not everyone can plan that far in advance. Try to have some patience and relax

Yup. They sure can’t. This happens to everyone; that’s the part I don’t understand. Why is this such a trend?

You don’t say. That was truly insightful. I never considered that selecting an earlier date, after I ran into this issue, might have produced different results....

Like I told the other two commenters who disagreed with my opinion, “I have washed my hands of the matter.” I know they won’t be timely, and I’m not adding more work to my list by calling if they don’t adhere to the deadline. Simple solution. Relaxation achieved. 😁
