One week to go

Catherine, on May 16, 2019 at 10:10 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 12
I am getting married on the 25th and everything seams to be happening, i got scratched this morning by one of my cats and my dress is strapless 😢, hope makeup helps to cover it up. I never break out and today i woke up and noticed a big bump on my nose and to top it off i am bloated and look pregnant, my MOH has been trying to make me feel better but i am still freaking out, any suggestions to help with the scratches, pimples and bloatedness? Help!

I wouldn’t worry too much about the scratch yet, they tend to heal pretty quickly. Put tea tree oil on it and it should help.
I have heard of breaking aspirin up and making a water/aspirin paste and putting it on the pimples.
Bloating will go down, drink lots of water and try to stay away from salty foods.

    Congratulations!!

Bloat - try to avoid carbs and sodium. I've been watching them for about a week and have lost a little weight and don't feel so blah. Drink lots of water.

Scratches - it will probably heal in a week, put neosporin on it daily

I'm getting married Saturday and my week has been like this (to cheer ya up some): last week one of the guys still hadn't bought his jeans (he lives in BFE and needs to order online), 90% chance of severe storms on the afternoon of the 5 o'clock wedding, they didn't have the color of nails I wanted, couldn't do the cake/cupcakes like I wanted, FH decided he doesn't want to go to a hotel afterwards and just wants to go to his bed, I've had 5 people message me saying they can't come after all, etc..

Date twins!!! Everything will work out fine, just make sure you’re drinking a lot of water and eating right.

    Hi Mandy,
Thank you for the suggestions, i did rush to put on Neosporin, that helps. I am so sorry you are having those last minute stress, there is always something or someone to make it a little difficult, hope he gets the jeans. You will see that at the end everything will be gorgeous. Congratulations and enjoy your day!

Tooth paste. The paste kind not gel on the pimples.
    Neosporin on the scratches.
With the pimples and the bloating, the lady parts seem like the first thing to blame. So maybe in a week it will all be better?

    Hi Courtney,

Love the tea tree suggestion, thankfully i do have some at home. Will also try the water/aspiring trick. I am really trying with the water, not my favorite but have to give it a shot.

Congrats to you as well. Thanks.

    Hi Victoria, Congrats!

Thanks for the suggestions, trying to drink a lot of water but by the end of the day i can't do it anymore, taste bad to me at this point lol. I guess it is a very small sacrifice.

    Have an amazing wedding!

Oh no! I’m worried my cat will scratch me close to the wedding, he got me on my hand recently and I was like “well thank god the wedding isn’t for months” 😅 makeup should cover it, just make sure to use a setting spray or powder so it doesn’t rub off. I’m getting airbrush makeup done and she said it covers scars and doesn’t rub off so maybe that’s an option? Good luck!

    Hi Sara,

I know it's hard but maybe try to not carry him the last weeks before your wedding, I didn't think to much of it and boom it happened. I have been going back and forth on airbrush makeup and had not decided yet but i do have my makeup trial this Saturday so i will try it and see what works best.

Congrats and thanks for the ideas.
