One month to go Pampering

Katherine, on November 10, 2019 at 4:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
Hi ladies,
I'm almost a month away from my wedding and starting to feel a bit of the stress. I wanted to know what you are doing/recommend to pamper yourself or destress in this last month. How are you making sure that you are looking and feeling your best before the big day?

I treated myself to a facial and massage the week before my wedding.

I'm like 4 days shy to one month away! I have a facial coming up this week and plan to get one two weeks before the wedding. I have a massage booked next month as well to get out all the stress and tension!

I have 26 days to go! I have been getting regular mani/pedis, doing face masks at home etc. I had my hair and makeup trial yesterday (which was actually really relaxing) and I’m thinking about a massage the week before the big day!

I'm 6 days out and I've taken the entire week off work. Tuesday I'm getting my hair treated, a facial, my eyebrows done and Wednesday I'm getting my nails done and just relaxing as much as possible.

I didn’t leave much for the last minute expect those things that was completely impossible to do before. I made sure I was organized so that helped as well. I took the night out for myself to distress, some wine, some tv and me time. Enjoy the trip down to the salon for hair coloring if any, waxing, mani and pedi. I had a massage the week of the wedding and this was just the icing on the cake.

I see some of the girls here say facials and I wouldn’t recommend a week before the wedding if you don’t do facial regularly. I always get break ups after a facial for the first week or so and you shouldn’t experiment so close to your wedding.

I was gifted a massage and facial st my shower but I will use that when everything is said and done! I'm taking this week off to relax and get things in order and sleep, lol. Only a few days left.

I am 6ish months out but I do the same things and will continue to do them up until the day. It took me years to practice self care and love soy list might be a little much but it works for me.

1.) I work out at pure barre. Keeps me motivated. At the end of the day, I just want do get moving!
2.) Working towards a clean diet. That one is hard Haha
3.) Salt caves and infrared saunas (I feel so fresh after this)
4.) Bi-weekly massages (I have chronic pain so this helps with that at the stress that comes along with it)
6.) This week, I am going to start with more frequent manicures and pedicures. (I am a massage therapist and my hands look icky)
7.) Light chemical peels with dermaplaning as well as the occasional Skinpen. (If you haven't tried dermaplaning...schedule now)

Stay hydrated!!! This was a great piece of advice given to me & I'm so happy I did it. Make sure you drink a ton of water (and eat healthy), but also use lotion on your face/skin, hydrating masks & hydrated hair masks, leave in conditioners, cuticle oils, etc.! Your hair & makeup will go so much easier on your big day. The month of our wedding, I got a few massages & did yoga in the evenings.
