OMG, I might have just bought the wrong dress!

Ladies I need your help, I'm totally freaking out right now! I went to Denver yesterday to look at Angela Nuran shoes that a salon was suppose to carry ( they only had a few models and none in my size so that was a bust, ironically). I went with my mom and when we walked in we were impressed with the salon and decided we might as well try on dresses while we were there. I thought I'd found my dress at David's Bridal in December, but there were a few things that I wasn't happy with. We found a strapless dress at this 2nd salon that had a little jacket that came with it, very similar to the one I fell in love with previously. Then the consultant brought us these straps that I thought were amazing at the time and totally sold us on the dress and I bought it I was so sure! Now I'm looking at pictures of the first dress and I'm terrified I bought the wrong one! All sales are final though, and I'm freaking out! What do you think? Pictures to follow...

I get what you are saying about the hips being more noticeable with one over the other. I think the one you purchased is amazing with the lace straps! You have to feel 100% sold on it in your heart though.

They are both beautiful dresses and I'm sure I'll be happy in either one. My sister actually told me that if a dress screamed 'Pick me! Pick me!" so loudly that I couldn't ignore it, chances are good I got a dress I could be proud of and "of course you'll have doubts once you take it off and the magic wasn't influencing you anymore".

Plus, it's too late now and it's fully paid for. I already paid for the more expensive alterations package in full also. (I'm currently three different dress sizes in my bust, waist and hips. /eye roll)

The dress doesn't come in until the end of July so I will stop worrying and focus on getting my shoes and veil. I might be able to ask them about maybe slimming the hips a little more or more likely adding a little more to the petticoat to get that voluptuous appearance I liked so much in the first dress.

Definitely talk to the alterations department about your concerns with flow/hips. I'll bet they'd be able to address it and make your dress perfect.

I am also going to talk to my seamstress about bringing my hips in for a little more contour. I think you made the right choice, that dress is stunning.
