OMG, I might have just bought the wrong dress!

PH03N1X, on February 3, 2017 at 3:18 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 33

Ladies I need your help, I'm totally freaking out right now! I went to Denver yesterday to look at Angela Nuran shoes that a salon was suppose to carry ( they only had a few models and none in my size so that was a bust, ironically). I went with my mom and when we walked in we were impressed with the salon and decided we might as well try on dresses while we were there. I thought I'd found my dress at David's Bridal in December, but there were a few things that I wasn't happy with. We found a strapless dress at this 2nd salon that had a little jacket that came with it, very similar to the one I fell in love with previously. Then the consultant brought us these straps that I thought were amazing at the time and totally sold us on the dress and I bought it I was so sure! Now I'm looking at pictures of the first dress and I'm terrified I bought the wrong one! All sales are final though, and I'm freaking out! What do you think? Pictures to follow...

You girls are so amazing, I don't know why I'm being so silly! I was so sure then I gave them my debit card and now I'm being stupid!

What I liked about the Davids Bridal dress was the extra fabric in the skirt and how it flowed out so beautifully, and I have hips in it. But I remember wishing the neckline dipped just a little lower and for some reason I loved the lacing in the back but I wanted to put a bow at the bottom, LOL.

The dress I bought seems a bit straighter of a skirt, not so flowy? I think the skirt starts higher up, meaning my hips aren't as noticeable. I love the neckline on it though and don't remember having a complaint about the back, though I did really like the corset back of the first dress.

Does any of this make sense?

I think I actually tried on that first one!

I had the same exact worries you're having when I bought my dress at a little boutique after ringing the bell and saying yes to a different dress (although not buying it because I like to sleep on things) at David's. The boutique had a discount that only applied if you bought your dress the FIRST time you step into the store (SO STRESSFUL!). I pulled up the two pictures probably a million times between ordering the dress and picking it up. I worried so much but when I put on MY dress when it came in I've been sure since.

I think the sleeves on your dress are super unique and make up for not having the corset detail. If you're still missing the corset when you pick it up you can always have alterations add one! Like you said, the first dress has more of a straight neckline and the second one has a sweetheart which is super flattering. Be confident in your decision!! Even though it seems like you made a heat of the moment purchase you said yes for a reason!

I love the dress you bought. I say stick with it and delete all other photos of you in dresses so you're not tempted to second guess.

The hip thing is really minor - but I do see what you're saying. I love the dress you actually bought, the straps and the shape are gorgeous on you!

DELETE ALL OTHER PHOTOS... otherwise you will still be feeling this way 3 months later like I did. The dress you bought is beautiful, I love the back of it, and I also really like the neckline on the one you bought way more than the other one.
