I am an "older" bride. I guess I am, anyway! Any other brides who are probably considered "older" here in WW? How have your journeys been in your planning?

    Congratulations!!

we were married last year - and i was a 41 year old first time bride. i didn't have a single negative experience during my planning and wedding with regard to my age... from dress shopping at vera wang all the way through the last detail. in fact, it never really entered my mind that i was an "older bride" - i'm just me and this is when i was fortunate enough to have found the person i wanted to marry. :o)

I'm 44. I think I put off a don't "f" with me vibe... I've not had any issues. Everyone's happy to take my money!

(Dress shopping was better than I expected--I was more worried about my weight than my age, but everyone made me feel like an important bride!)

<<47 and I have picked up some "vibes" but nothing direct or said. I agree..."So long commission!" (Reminds me of scene in "Pretty Woman!")

I did feel totally out of place, dress shopping. I was surrounded by darling little barely 20-something's trying on Princess dresses, with their full entourage! LOL

We have advantages, too! Smiley winking Not caring so much about other's opinions, often more financially stable (not always, I know!), more likely spending our own money so COMPLETELY up to us, etc.. =)
